All In
Breath Prayer:
Wait for the Lord (inhale) | Be strong, and take heart (exhale)
Big Idea: We are blessed to be witnesses of a defining moment in the history of our church. A time when God is clearly at work by his Spirit.
Reflect
Psalm 27:13-24
I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.
Acts 2:2-4
Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

Read Acts 2:42-47 - this is the church’s response to the gift of the Holy Spirit
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
What behaviors characterized the early church?
What motivated them to do these things?
Do these same behaviors still characterize our local church?
What obstacles stand in the way of our being “all in” followers of Jesus like those first mothers and fathers in the faith?
The Holy Spirit moves in the realms of invitation and opportunity, not in obligation or pressure.
How do you sense the invitation or opportunity for our church through Hearts Ablaze?
What does it look like in modern America to be an “All In” follower of Jesus? Do you desire it?
